Hope For Paws learned about a situation where a dog was dumped at an elementary school by his owner, writes ilovedogsomuch.
The Spaniel sat hiding in the corner and wouldn’t come to anyone when called. But rescuers arrived, and the dog became interested in their snacks. They secured the good boy with the gentle snare at the first opportunity.
They named him Rufus and put him in a crate so that he could be transported to the hospital for a checkup.
The dog with a heart-shaped mark on his forehead got a nice warm bath, and that’s when he really started to perk up and come to life! He may not have known love in his previous life, but he was learning all about it now.
Rufus is currently being fostered by LA Animal Rescue and is happy and healthy as he awaits his forever home!
It’s all he needs in this second chance at life.
