Old Dog Found With Large Tumours Gets Second Chance

Knotty the dog was found wandering the streets when she was picked up by animal control and transported to Vet Ranch for care. Her fur was severely matted, which is why her rescuers nicknamed her Knotty, writes dogheirs

The older pup had a large growth on her chest and a mammary tumour, and Dr. Wendy wasn’t sure if the growths were cancerous. But one thing was certain, Knotty is a sweet and friendly dog deserving a second chance.

Thanks to Dr. Wendy, Knotty (now Pamela) underwent a successful surgery and, although her mammary gland was cancerous, there is no evidence that the cancer has spread. Pamela will have a future thanks to The Abandoned Pet Project, who supports Vet Ranch’s medical care.
