The very day they brought baby Elliot home from the hospital, he had a best friend for life in the family’s dog, Gemma, writes ilovemydogsomuch
For those first three or four years of the little boy’s life, the two were inseparable and did everything together. But a big change was coming to disrupt that a little bit, and it was hard on the Pittie.
Elliot started preschool, and Gemma became sad and lonely during the day that her little human brother was gone. Instead of allowing her to just mope around and stare out the window, the family brought a little friend into the home that would fill the void in her life!
Enter Boops the foster kitten! The family tries to foster a kitten every year, and that was the only intention here. Boops was a little unsure at first of sharing this home with such a big dog, but Gemma took to the little one. It was the first foster that started to play back with her!
After seeing the bond that formed, they couldn’t separate the two. So Boops became a permanent member of the family! Today, Elliot, Gemma, and Boops are the best of buds and set for life.
