Bandit, a one-year-old Malinois Shepherd, went missing from his home in Côte-d´Or (France) in June 2020. Devastated by his disappearance, Bandit’s owner, Farid, spent months looking for him, writes top-retriver.
It was not until eight months later, that a good Samaritan found Bandit on the side of the road. The poor dog was stolen when he was only 4 months old.
Bandit was found without a collar at 310 miles from home.
Fortunately, Bandit was equipped with a microchip, which allowed him to (finally) be reintroduced to his owner. A reunion was organized, this is the kind of stories and videos we need. Thanks to the incredible, life-saving work of the shelter, a good Samaritan, and a microchip, Bandit and Farid were reunited and are looking forward to spending many more years together.
Farid immediately took the road to pick up Bandit. “I’m so grateful for everyone who had a hand in his recovery and I cannot stress enough the importance of chipping your pets. Having Bandit home is simply a miracle that would not have happened without that chip. Bringing Bandit home was one of the happiest days of my life.” said Farid.
Watch the video, a very moving and beautiful reunion for all the staff, Bandit and his owner.
Farid shared the beautiful reunion, writing that it had been a long journey for the two of them, but he was beyond happy to have him back.
