The officers have revealed that they are still in shock after uncovering the most gruesome case of animal abuse and neglect in the filthy hoarding home.
The officers have removed 30 dogs, 2 cats, a horse and 2 burros from the abusive situation. The animals were sick and infected from living in mounds of feces and urine. Their diseased skin was rotting away due to fleas-infestation and most of them had lost their fur. Some of the dogs were cramped in makeshift pens while the others were chained outside in the heat with no escape.
The Humane Society is currently working to improve these animals’ health and overall wellness. The mental state of the animals is very delicate at the moment. They have spent ages in the putrid-smelling home with absolutely no care. It’ll take a few of months to restore their crushed spirits and depleted health.
If you wish to donate toward the recovery of these harrowed animals, you can visit the Humane Society’s donation page here. Officers are still looking into the abusive owners, and appropriate action will be taken once the investigation is complete. Let’s become these animals’ voice and make sure the owners don’t get away with this. Spread the word!
