6-Month-Old Tiny Chihuahua So Severely Beaten That Both Eyes Must Be Removed

Some people do not deserve the love and companionship of animals, and police in Woonsocket, Rhode Island are hoping the general public can help with a recent case of dog abuse in their area, writes ilovemydogsomuch

A sweet little Chihuahua named Helen was found on Elm Street in the town with such severe trauma and horrific injuries that she was rushed to an emergency veterinarian.

She was treated by vets at Tufts Veterinary Medical Center who had to remove both of Helen’s eyes because she was in so much pain and so incredibly abused. As of this writing, the person or persons responsible for abusing the helpless little dog have not been found. Police are hopeful that someone will step up to report the culprits so they can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

In the meantime, the Woonsocket Police Department shared a joyful update to their Facebook page. They wrote, “Helen has been adopted by a member of the Tufts staff. Helen is a 6 month to year-old Chihuahua.”

Anyone with information on this dog or who might have harmed her is asked to contact Detective Scott Breguet by emailing [email protected] or by calling (401)356-4759. Thanks to the person who reported this act of animal abuse. If you see something, always say something. We are the voices for those who cannot speak for themselves.
